As homeowners we each have multiple responsibilities for home maintenance. One of those responsibilities is the need to properly maintain plumbing fixtures in your home. Section 4.10 of the CC&Rs outlines the requirement that you have a plumbing professional perform an annual inspection.
Areas that have proven problematic in the past and may need inspection and possible replacement are angle stops, laundry faucets and hoses, dishwasher drain lines and seals, toilet lines and mechanisms, refrigerator water lines, among others. Your plumber or other plumbing expert should be consulted for your particular situation.
Your attention to this responsibility can prevent serious problems for you and your neighbors and will ultimately be appreciated by all concerned.
